BACKSTREET BOY KEVIN RICHARDSON has paved the way for pop star hopefuls in Florida, America - by opening a music academy in downtown Louisville.
The 31-year-old singer admits he never had the chance to explore his musical curiosity as a child, because the appropriate facilities were based too far away.
So the thoughtful star - along with his childhood pal KEITH McGUFFEY - has set up a music school to make the path to stardom easier for talented kids.
He says, "When me and Keith were growing up in central Kentucky there wasn't any real outlet for us. If we wanted to get information about the music industry we had to travel to get any real solid input."
Speaking of his academy, he adds, "You'll learn how to record a demo, how to shop a demo and who you need to get it to."13/08/2003 20:54
