Author E.l. Doctorow Dies At 84

American Author E.l. Doctorow Has Died, Aged 84.
The writer, best known for his award-winning novels Ragtime and Billy Bathgate, passed away on Tuesday (21Jul15) at his Manhattan, New York home after a battle with lung cancer.
Throughout his storied career, he wrote a dozen novels, a number of short story collections and a stage drama, and was highly regarded as one of America's top writers of historical fiction.
