An Austrian girl who was imprisoned for eight years after she was kidnapped on her way to school is to front her own TV chat show. Natascha Kampusch, 19, last year (07) escaped from a cellar where she had been kept since 1998 by Wolfgang Priklopil, who committed suicide the day she escaped. Kampusch's show, provisionally entitled Natascha Kampusch In Conversation With... will be screened on Austria's Puls 4 channel. She says, "For a while now I have been considering the idea of coming out of the role of a passive media object and becoming proactive in creating media content. "(The interviews) could be famous people, but also very ordinary ones - just anyone who has a story to tell really. I don't want to just skim the surface in these conversations. I want to go deeper."
