Roots Manuva - Aussie Festival Scrapped After Downpour

An Australian music festival due to feature headline performances from Roots Manuva and Nile Rodgers has been cancelled due to torrential rain.
Organisers have "reluctantly" called off the Playground Weekender event over fears the venue would be unsafe after heavy rainfall in southern areas of New South Wales.
The line-up for the three-day festival, which was due to be held on 2 to 4 March (12), also included the bands Manchester Orchestra, Black Lips and Shapeshifter.
A statement from promoter Andy Rigby reads, "We have been planning this event all year and were anticipating it as much as our guests were. The safety of the guests, artists and staff at the event, and on their way to and from the event, is our main priority."
