Audiences To Decide Ending For Hawaii Five-0 Whodunnit

In yet another effort to converge social media with old-fashioned TV, the producers of the CBS drama Hawaii Five-0 will allow viewers to vote on how the Jan. 14 episode will end. There will be three possible murder suspects in the plot, with evidence that could convict any of them. It will be the job of the audience to render its verdict. Three possible outcomes have been filmed for the episode, and the one that the audience chooses by voting on Twitter or at CBS.com while the show is being broadcast will be the one used. Moreover, voting will be conducted in each of the major time zones, and the ending seen on the West Coast might be different from the one seen on the East Coast or in the Mid-West. I love that our dedicated and attentive fans will actually play a part in resolving our story, said Hawaii Five-0 executive producer Peter Lenkov in a statement. Following the broadcast, all three endings will be available for streaming at CBS.com. The tactic could also have another positive side effect -- it could limit the number of people watching the show on their DVRs.
