Ashton Kutcher's Firm Sues Dmv For 'Backing Out Of Reality Show'
Katalyst Media, which is run by Kutcher and partner Jason Goldberg, reportedly struck a deal with Dmv bosses to make a TV show featuring the staff who work in driver licensing offices.
The lawsuit, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, states, "The series was conceived and designed to capture the variously humorous, emotional, dramatic, moving, humanizing and entertaining situations that arise on a daily basis at Dmv's more than 170 offices across the state of California."
However, Dmv heads have been accused of pulling out "abruptly and without justifiable excuse" over claims they believed the planned programme wasn't in their "best interests".
Kutcher's company has produced several TV shows, including Punk'd and Beauty and the Geek.
