Ashton Kutcher Renews Commitment To Two And A Half Men

Tinsletown journal The Hollywood Reporter has broken news that Ashton Kutcher will renew his deal to continue the role of Warren Schmit on the long running sitcom Two and a Half Men. Kutcher was brought in to replace Charlie Sheen on the show after his outburst against the show's creator, Chuck Lorre, saw him lose his role on the show and begin a well documented descent into debauchery and hedonism.

According to the report, Kutcher will make slightly more than the $700,000 he already makes, moving up to $725,000 per episode (or about $15 million to $16 million per season). Jon Cryer, who plays Alan Harper and has been in the show for all 10 seasons now, is said to make a little less than that, whilst Angus T. Jones, who plays Jake Harper, earns about half what Kutcher does. However both will experience similar pay increases to go with the one Kutcher is receiving.

Kutcher's introduction to the show seems to have proved sceptics wrong, who thought he would fail to achieve the likeability that Sheen's Charlie Harper had. However, the shows last season continually received positive feedback and high ratings, although it did take a slight dip in ratings towards the end of the season. Nonetheless it was a dip that clearly hasn't changed the show's producers' opinion that they still have a winning show.

His character is WALDEN Schmidt. A little proof reading goes a long way.
