Arnold Schwarzenegger - Arnold Schwarzenegger To Star As Wwii German Soldier?
ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, the former Hollywood movie star turned Governor of California, is said to be eyeing a return to the big screen and is currently considering a role in RANDALL WALLACE's new movie 'With Wings as Eagles', according to Empire Magazine. The 63-year-old left office at the beginning of 2011 after being ousted by Democrat JERRY BROWN.
Schwarzenegger, famed for starring in a number of 'action-hero' movies such as 'Predator', 'The Terminator' and 'Commando', says his body is no longer able to cope with the same types of roles, but added, "In the future I'll need to pick my roles according to my age. Clint Eastwood did it the same way". After becoming renowned for his spaghetti westerns and action movies, Eastwood gained critical acclaim for his toned down performances in the likes of Million Dollar Baby in 2004, and Gran Torino in 2008. Schwarzenegger is considering the role of 'Ostermann' in Wallace's new movie, a WWII German soldier who goes against orders to rescue prisoners of war. The actor added, "In With Wings As Eagles I would play an older soldier, but the script still has all kinds of adventure".
Schwarzenegger's last appearance on screen came last year when he made a cameo in SYLVESTER STALLONE's 'The Expendables'.
