Armstrong Quits Tour De France
The sports star is gearing up to participate in the event, which begins on Saturday (03Jul10), but he's told fans not to expect him to enter in 2011.
In a post on his personal Twitter.com page, he writes, "And yes, this will be (my) final Tour de France. It's been a great ride. Looking forward to 3 great weeks."
The news comes after a hectic few months for Armstrong - while he was ecstatic to learn he would be a father again later this year (10), the star was forced to pull out of the Tour of California in May (10) after a nasty fall left him needing stitches.
Armstrong holds the record for winning the Tour de France seven consecutive times.
