Aretha Franklin - Aretha Franklin Suffers Fractured Toe

The Queen of Soul is currently touring America promoting her album A Woman Falling Out Of Love and was staying in Dallas, Texas on Friday (17Jun11) as part of the trek.

But Franklin was left in agony when she caught her toe on one of her spiky Jimmy Choo shoes and fell over in her hotel suite.

The singer's representative reveals to People.com that it "hurt like heck for a minute, but seemed to subside".

Franklin has since stopped off at the Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, where X-rays revealed she has fractured a toe on her left foot.

But the Respect hitmaker is taking the injury lightly, saying, "I'm so grateful it wasn't my right piano (pedal) foot... How am I supposed to match my new Marc Jacobs gown with this wooden blue hospital shoe?"
