Are 'Finding Nemo 2' And 'Toy Story 4', In Development?
Pixar fanatics found themselves worked up into frenzy this week, as rumors begun to surface about three sequels to their classics. Those movies in question were 'Toy Story', 'Finding Nemo' and 'Monsters Inc'. Some of the speculation seems to be grounded in truth, whereas others seem a little sketchier.
It's already common knowledge that a Monsters Inc prequel is on the way. Fans have already been treated to a trailer for the forthcoming full-length movie, which will be entitled 'Monsters University'. The prequel features Mike and Sulley meeting up in college, though not much else is known about the movie so far, other than it is definitely happening, with a release date of July 2013. As for the possibility of 'Finding Nemo 2', the details are shrouded in mystery. A 3-D version of the original Nemo will be released in September but as for a sequel? Deadline reported yesterday that it's in the pipeline, with Andrew Stanton at the helm but Stanton himself appeared to be refuting the claim by tweeting yesterday "Didn't you all learn from Chicken Little? Everyone calm down. Don't believe everything you read. Nothing to see here now. skyisnotfalling."
And as for 'Toy Story 4', the rumor appears to have sprung from a year-old interview with Tom Hanks, who appeared to suggest the film was already in development.
