Amanda Bynes - Are Amanda Bynes' Drug Problems Escalating? Was She Driving On Dope?

Rumours of Amanda Bynes' drug problems escalated recently after TMZ reported that the American singer, actress and fashion designer was seen driving aimlessly for hours on Tuesday (September 11th) whilst smoking from what appeared to be a marijuana pipe. Uh-oh! Photos obtained by the entertainment website showed that Bynes had been smoking from a pipe that had been designed to look like a normal cigarette lighter that could be connected to the car.

Obviously driving around stoned isn't ideal and Bynes' solicitors are going to have a job to explain that one if it's hauled up by the police. However, there's another issue they'll be having to address as well, given that the star shouldn't even be driving, period. The DMV reportedly suspended her license on August 25th after she apparently refused to take a sobriety test when busted for a DUI in the spring. By California law, that means an instant suspension of her driving license.

It gets worse for Bynes' driving credentials; she's been charged for two hit and runs recently whilst various other drivers have complained that she's either hit them or subjected to them to potential peril. This latest trip, during which she drove aimlessly saw her do just that, cutting off drivers and violating various traffic laws. It's quite clear that all is not well.
