Matt Helders - Arctic Monkeys to 'have fun' with Glastonbury set

The Arctic Monkeys will ''have a bit of fun'' with their set at Glastonbury.

Drummer Matt Helders is ''quietly confident'' about the band's headlining the festival's iconic Pyramid Stage next Friday (28.06.2013).

The 'Crying Lightning' band have headlined the same stage in 2007 and when asked how the two performances will compare, Matt told BBC 1's Zane Lowe: ''I'm prepared for what it entails in a way, but I think in terms of preparation we can mould a different kind of set list for it and have a bit more fun with it.

''So far I'm probably quietly confident, but I know as soon as I'm walking up the steps I'll be in a different place completely, I'll just be talking nonsense, walking around a lot.''

The band's new single 'Do I Wanna Know', debuted yesterday and has been ''scary'' to perform in recent live sets as the band haven't practiced playing it much.

He added: ''It was one of the first ones that we did for the record. When it came down to playing it, it was still quite scary, we didn't practice it that much, we didn't know it well!''

Matt, 27, also joked how the band still find it difficult to compliment each other, admitting he couldn't even bring himself to tell singer Alex Turner how good the lyrics for the new track are.

He said: ''The thing I remember from actually recording it in the studio, [was] sitting there and without telling him how good I think he is, just like y'know, keeping it to myself, but enjoying it.''

Glastonbury takes places between June 28 and 30 and the festival site will include the first ever dedicated 4G network at a UK festival, installed by EE, which will ensure people can access the internet, tweet, update their Facebook and blog on site.

The mobile phone service provider will also be providing two 'EE Recharge' tents which will help tens of thousands of festival-goers keep their mobiles charged.
