Annie Lennox Too Old For Reunion

Annie Lennox says she wants to take more risks and would never reform Eurythmics.

Annie Lennox feels too old to reform Eurythmics.

The 'There Must Be An Angel' singer insists she has no plans to reunite with former bandmate Dave Stewart as her life has moved on so much and she wants to take more "risks".

She said: "I'm not really keen on comebacks. Eurythmics was an incredible thing. When I look back on that work, I feel very satisfied by it.

"But I'm not in that headspace now. I'm 54, I have teenagers. What's always been important to me is not struggling to keep going round the same groove. I want to go forwards, and I want to take risks."

The singer also said she believes celebrity endorsements for charity is important, even if the stars involved are just looking for publicity.

She added: "It could be an ego boost for them but at the end of the day, does it make a difference? There's a deal with all of this. Without celebrity interest, tragically and embarrassingly, where would some of the issues be?"

The Eurythmics shot to fame in 1983 and split up in 1989. They reformed ten years later but again went their separate ways in 2005.
