Anne Hathaway is using Natalie Portman's wedding planner.

The 'Dark Knight Rises' actress is rumoured to be marrying partner Adam Shulman at Big Sur, California, this weekend, and has asked Yifat Oren to plan the nuptials - the same person who helped Natalie Portman plan her wedding to Benjamin Millipied.

A source told RadarOnline.com: ''Anne will be a beautiful bride.''

The ceremony will be a traditional Jewish affair and she has purchased all the dresses for the bridesmaids in addition to her own.

Speaking recently, Valentino Garavani confirmed he had designed the gown that would be worn by the 'Les Miserables' beauty.

However, she claimed the wedding would not take place until 2013 because of her work commitments.

She said: ''We're getting married, probably sometime next year-ish. Not this year, its too big with two films coming out.

''I haven't started planning yet. I was filming 'Les Mis' when we decided to do it, and there was no way I could think about anything wedding-related with my head in the space it was in then. I've been so busy since then, I've not even decided what sort of ceremony I want.''

What Do We Know About Christopher Nolan's Interstellar? 4307610 News

Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey made a surprise visit to the San Diego Comic-Con last week to unveil the full trailer for their new movie, Interstellar. It seems fans were impressed but, with a November release date for the motion picture fast approaching, what do we actually know about this sci-fi adventure?

We know that it has an all-star cast with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway taking the leads and Michael Caine, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Matt Damon and William Devane featuring, among others.

We know that it focuses on a team of space travellers who travel through a wormhole - a hypothetic feature of spacetime that can connect widely separated regions.

We also know a little about the emotional element to the story in which McConaughey’s widowed character must leave his two children behind to join the voyage to another galaxy in order to save humanity.

Written by Jonathan and Christopher Nolan, the film was devised by film producer, Lynda Obst, and theoretical physicist, Kip Thorne and we know it has had a lot of background research work go into the development of its plot and script. Jonathan Nolan told Larry King Now in April 2014 that, to learn the science specifically enough to write a screenplay, he had studied relativity at the California Institute of Technology for four years while developing the script.

We know filming began in August 2013 and took place in several towns in Canada, parts of Iceland where Christopher Nolan has shot some scenes for his 2005 hit, Batman Begins and in Los Angeles, California.

While Nolan has been particularly keen to keep his project under wraps and let slip nothing about the plot, after Comic-Con the studio released a cryptic website that confuses and intrigues more than it answers. The Hollywood Reporter said that some users have worked out a number of hidden messages that can be seen including a starscape to suggest the original Apollo 11 moon landing of 21 July, 1969.

Is that telling us something that we need to know? At this point, who can say but, based on what we do know it seems a fair assumption to say: we know this film’s going to be good.

Released in UK cinemas on 6 November, here’s the latest trailer.

Who Could Play The Female 'Thor' On The Big Screen? 4290282 News

In a move that many comic book aficionados may not have expected, Marvel Comics has announced that one of their most dominant male characters has been given a sex change. In the new comic series due out in October, Thor, based on the Norse God of Thunder and one of Marvel's 'big three', will be a female character. But this isn't just big news for fans of the printed material.

The character Thor has had a huge impact on screen as well and has been involved in two hugely successful films, Thor and Thor: The Dark World and is an integral part of The Avengers ensemble and its forthcoming sequel.

So, the big question is: who will play this new female fighting force when it inevitably hits the cinemas?

Angelina Jolie

An obvious choice simply because she was one of the first women to break the female action figure barrier.

Angelina JolieAngelina Jolie is the original action actresses

She took no prisoners as the titular character in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and its sequel, was prepared to kill her husband as a skilled, assassin in Mr and Mrs Smith and showed no mercy as a wanted CIA operative in Salt.

But, as Jolie expands her dark side through more subtle modes such as the evil Queen in Maleficent while developing her own personal reputation as a Special Envoy for the United Nations: has she grown out of guns, hand to hand combat and playing rough?

Jennifer Lawrence

Maybe Angie could pass the mantle on to the new generation of kick-ass women in which Jennifer Lawrence fits as a result of her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games trilogy and Mystique in X-Men First Class and X-Men Days of Future Past.

Like Jolie, Lawrence is not simply a one-woman action heroine, there to save the day and do little else, but is very capable of playing a wide variety of characters and emotional possibilities as evident from the two Oscars that must surely sit somewhere very proudly in her home.

Emma Stone

Emma StoneEmma Stone was great as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man

After displaying a feisty performance as Gwen Stacy, love interest of the hero in The Amazing Spider-Man, could Stone be ready to swap her supporting role for a lead one?

Her acting skills have shown her to be capable of stunning, funny, interesting and powerful characters which could be everything that our new female Thor is looking to be.

Rooney Mara

A perfect fit as the complicated heroine in the American remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Mara is dark, brooding and immeasurably talented.

With such striking looks and just a hint of deviousness in her stare, Mara could prove to be the dark horse that really brings out a depth of character in Marvel's new female force.

Anne Hathaway's gentle character created from such roles as reluctant princess Mia in The Princess Diaries and its later sequel and put-upon assistant Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada did not prepare the world for her dazzlingly duplicitous turn as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises.

But surprise us she did and, consequently, put herself very much in the running for such as role as the female God of Thunder.

Cool Thing Of The Week: Jenny Lewis' "Just One Of The Guys" Video, Featuring Anne Hathaway 4287485 News

Jenny Lewis’ new music video might be the best thing on the internet this week. Not only is the song, Lewis’ new single Just One of the Guys all about gender roles and why they’re awful, but the video features kickass ladies Anne Hathaway, Kristen Stewart and Brie Larson, rocking out and – at some points – dressing up like dudes. It looks like it was fun to film. The former Rilo Kiley confirmed as much in a recent interview with GQ, where she promoted her upcoming album, Voyager.

Jenny Lewis
Lewis is stepping up her solo game.

"We screamed with laughter all day, huddled behind the monitor," Lewis tells GQ. "I haven't laughed that hard since What About Bob? came out on laser disk."

Oh and, for everyone who has ever wondered what the ladies would look like in drag… weird. Just plain weird. According to Lewis all the ridiculousness – Hathaway’s rat-tail stache, Stewart’s Bieber-esque look, the tracksuits – was on purpose. In fact, the actresses came up with some of the details entirely on their own.

Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart channelled her inner Justin Bieber for the hilarious video.

"The rat-tail was all Annie," Lewis says, praising the Oscar-winning Les Misérables actress for her wardrobe addition. "Deep character exploration. Her dude is a bit more Backstreet Boy than the rest. Melancholy Backstreet Boy is what I think she was going for—he really feels things deeply and break dances like a mother--ker."

It’s all very conceptual, is what we’re saying. Also really, really cool.

The Shorter The Better: Celebrities Who Are Rocking The Pixie Cut For Summer 4242744 News

It looks as if the hottest celebrity hairstyle for this summer is going be the classic pixie cut, with more stars than ever now going for the chop. There’s no better time then than the summer to take the plunge and go for the cropped look, after all warm weather mixed with long hair always makes for a sticky situation. So if you’re thinking of getting rid of your long locks, here’s five of our favourite members of the pixie cut club to offer some inspiration.

Anne Hathaway Anne Hathway has kept the short look since Les Miserables

Anne Hathaway

For her role in Les Miserables, Anne Hathaway had a dramatic haircut which the actress said was the hardest moment of her career. Now Anne’s hair has grown back, but she decided to keep it short opting for a short sleek pixie cut. The actress is clearly a fan of the look having kept it for over a year now. What’s great about Hathaway’s cut is she always seems to find a different way to style it, showing that short hair can be versatile too, if you have the creativity.

Pamela Anderson

Pamela is the last person we expected to go for the cropped look. The blonde bombshell’s long mane had been a huge part of her identity for over 20 years, but in March she shocked us all when she debuted a much shorter pixie cut in Elle magazine. At 43 Pamela is still every inch the sex symbol with her new shorter hair, which shows off her enviable bone structure. The actress told Elle, that her new look made her feel “really powerful” adding that a friend told her she now looked “even more feminine.”

Kaley Cuoco

The ‘Big Bang Theory’ actress debuted her new look earlier this month, thanking her hairdresser for bringing out her ‘inner Peter Pan.” Kaley’s hair had gradually been getting shorter since her marriage to Ryan Sweeting but we’re guessing she hasn’t looked back since going all the way. Kaley’s particular cut, which includes a side swept fringe frames her face perfectly and has enough layers to create volume, giving it a full, textured look.

Jennifer Lawrence

When Jennifer debuted her new shorter look in November the trend had well and truly started. But now it seems J-Law has moved on and her hair has growing out into more of a bob style. Still J-Law shows that there’s still plenty you can do when growing out the pixie cut. Right now the actress seems to be favouring a wavy asymmetrical look, which looks just as cute and fresh for the summer season.

Miley Cyrus

When Miley wanted to really break away from her Hannah Montana persona what did she do? She cut her hair off and bleached it platinum blonde. Miley’s transformation is an example of the edgier side to the cropped look, it your looking for something drastic then getting rid of those locks is really the way to go. As cute as the pixie look is, it can also be the perfect way to unleash your inner bad girl, just in time for summer.

Interstellar 4203573 Videos 19th May 2014

With the Earth facing a bleak future, pilot and engineer Cooper wants to know how it can possibly be saved from its inevitable demise. The world seems to be slowing down in terms of technological advancement and important discovery, but one group of scientists and explorers are determined to keep pushing the boundaries of human endeavour in the hope that human beings can learned enough to save themselves. When an unusual wormhole like void is discovered in space, the scientists prepare to embark on an interstellar voyage of wisdom to unlock the hidden mysteries of the universe and uncover the key to time travel. It's an expedition that faces great danger and has never before been undertaken by man, and while Cooper is concerned about his separation from his family, he can't pass up this opportunity to explore the stars.

This sci-fi intergalactic adventure is filled with mystery, tragedy and frequent ominous references to Murphy's Law - the idea that anything that can happen, will happen. It has been directed by Oscar nominee Christopher Nolan ('The Dark Knight Rises', 'Inception', 'The Prestige') and co-written with his writing partner and brother Jonathan Nolan ('Person of Interest'). 'Interstellar' is expected to hit screens in November this year.

Don Peyote 4196275 Film Reviews

The most surprising thing about this comedy is that it's not very funny, but then it's not meant to be. This is a trippy odyssey into the mind of a drug-addled guy who thinks the world is falling apart around him. Sure, it's fitfully amusing, but it's also harrowing and utterly bonkers. And there are some moments of sublime emotion in there too.

Dan Fogler stars as Warren, a 33-year-old unemployed graphic novelist who is haunted by dreams about the world ending on 21st December 2012. But there's another date approaching much sooner that has him even more shaken: his wedding to his rather too-hot fiancee Karen (Kelly Hitchinson), who is trying to get pregnant as she plans the big day. Then in a peyote-induced stupor, Warren becomes convinced that he has been given some sort of psychic insight into the apocalypse, and asks his best pal Balance (Yang Miller) to help him make a documentary film about the strange events going on around him. And things get very strange indeed.

Written and directed by Fogler and Michael Canzoniero, the film flickers back and forth between Warren's luridly coloured drug trips and his even more jarring lucid moments. Every scene is packed with existential chatter, like a Woody Allen movie for potheads, while the tone swings wildly between dark drama, broad slapstick and even a couple of zany musical numbers. Which is appropriate for a film set in the mind of a man who isn't always sober. It's not easy to watch this slobby nice guy lose his mind, but there are observations along the way that add strong resonance.

Yes, this is an audacious film about urban panic: worrying about growing up and settling down, and also about the effects of societal paranoia. The performances are strikingly down-to-earth, with an improvisational style that provides both hilarious gags and razor-sharp insight. A parade of A-list actors in one-scene roles adds to the interest (Anne Hathaway pops up as a sassy ninja, Topher Grace watches helplessly as Fogler's agent). And even though several sequences feel indulgent and pointless, the movie captures a feeling everyone can identify with: that the world is teetering on the brink of anarchy. And the salient question is whether it really is possible to change the collective consciousness.

Is It Time To Quit Hatha-hating On Anne Hathaway? 4155818 News

Anne Hathaway may bring out hit movie after hit movie but the actress just can’t catch a break. No matter how hard she tries to prove how quirky and genuine she is, she’s never managed to convert the hoards of self-proclaimed ‘Hatha-haters’. What is ‘Hatha-hating’ you may ask? Is there a cult of dedicated yoga detesters protesting outside fitness classes? No, Hatha-haters aren’t quite so middle class. Rather it’s a term coined to describe those who have come to vehemently dislike the Les Miserables actress, despite her best efforts to win them over.

anne hathaway hathahate Hoards of 'Hatha-haters' dislike the actress for being 'false'.

But why do so many people claim to hate Anne Hathaway? She’s isn’t over exposed Kim Kardashian style, she doesn’t act like a diva (and demand $6million for a tweet) like Katherine Heigl, all she does it put in consistently solid performances, win awards and generally mind her own business. It was actually the award winning that kicked it all off in the first place. Her breathless Golden Globe acceptance speech was slammed as being totally staged, one Hatha-hater explained, “I didn’t buy it and she was incredibly annoying”. Her soundbite from the speech, describing her award as a “lovely blunt object that I will forever use as a weapon against self-doubt” was met by a global gag by those who claimed the rehearsed line was the antithesis of spontaneity.

The problem, they assert, is that Anne Hathaway doesn’t come across as someone wracked with self-doubt. Richard Lawson, entertainment writer at The Atlantic Wire explains, “She always seems like she’s performing, and her favourite act is this overstated humility and graciousness.”
Unlike Jennifer Lawrence, who’s quirky charm has been embraced by the masses, while the whole world wants to be her best friend, no matter how “genuine” Anne Hathaway tries to be it always falls on deaf ears.

anne hathaway hathahate Anne Hathaway and another of her 'lovely blunt' objects.

But really, is it just to just stop the Hatha-hate and be a little bit more understanding? The public eye scrutinises and is unforgiving, because Anne Hathaway isn’t as adept at letting her true personality shine through to the press at all times doesn’t mean she is disingenuous and worthy of hate. She’s an extraordinarily talented and versatile actress, she should be praised for her skill rather than chastised for not being able to live up to the unrealistic standards set by the world for female stars. Surely her recent performance with Jimmy Fallon, where she showed off her rapping skills, may have warmed the world to her a little? She may not have the natural charm of J-Law, but she’s wiling to be a little silly and she should at least get some kudos for that.

'Rio 2': Critics Squawk Their First Verdicts On The Colourful Kids' Comedy [Trailer] 4151507 News

Don't you know about the bird? Well, Spix's Macaw to be precise and a new kids' movie that's bound to get you feeling in the mood for some summer sun and the Brazilian world cup. Rio 2 is currently out in the US and UK and picks up where its successful 2011 predecessor left off. But have critics given the new release the encouragement it needs to soar at the box office?

Rio 2 Jesse Eisenberg Anne Hathaway
It's Looking Pretty Good Box Office-Wise For 'Rio 2' This Weekend - If Only The Critics Could Be Convinced...

Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway reprise their roles as Blue and Jewel, two bright blue endangered who have settled into familial bliss since we last saw them. The news of more of their kind deep in the Amazon rainforest sends the itchy-footed Jewel reeling with excitement at the thought of moving to the wild.

The less-than enthusiastic Blue decides to go along with Jewel's plan, which leads to them meeting Jewel's formidable father (Andy Garcia) and some old friends. If a disapproving father-in-law and Jewel's dashing old flame (Bruno Mars) aren't enough for Blu to worry about, Nigel the evil Cockatoo (Jemaine Clement) has also taken to the wild with revenge on his mind - with sidekicks Gabi the poisonous tree frog (Kristin Chenoweth) and a tap-dancing anteater - and an unscrupulous logger is threatening to destroy everyone's homes.

Unfortunately, at 47%, the film isn't currently faring too well on reviews aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with many critics highlighting a bust and confusing plotline as a point of particular concern. Whilst most critics highlight the dance scenes, songs and animation as top quality, it hasn't been enough to distract from the movie's distracting flaws.

Rio 2 is "Wonderfully animated and well-voiced," says the LA Times' Betsy Sharkey, who kicks off this round-up on a high note. However, the film is criticised for having simply "Too much plot, too many issues, too many characters."

"Rio 2 [...] relies on derivative plotting and slapstick visual gags, in contrast to Pixar's more cerebral originality," says Liam Lacey from The Globe And Mail. He notes that "Where the film excels though, in an even more pronounced way than the first film, is in the choreographed animation for the musical numbers."

"Visual vibrance" & "general goofiness" - read our full review of 'Rio 2.'

"Like the first movie, "Rio 2" looks great with vibrant colors and lovely animation that pop off the screen," says The Washington Post's Stephanie Merry, before remakring on a less than positive note that the film is an "overstuffed mess of too many personalities and plot points," adding damningly "'Rio 2' is curiously devoid of decent comedy."

The NY Times' review is florid in its description of the visually dazzling film but unfortunately for director Carlos Saldanha, it is lacking in its praise for Rio 2. "The cinematic equivalent of attack by kaleidoscope," is what Jeannette Catsoulis calls the film, though she remarks that the friendly children's flick will be good for Rio de Janeiro's image.

"The franchise is a gift of samba-and-Carnival cheer that Mr. Saldanha lards with all the fondness of a native son," she remarks, adding "Ms. Chenoweth is the film's secret weapon." It's not all happy-happy though: the critics earmarks an "unremarkable chorus of sidekicks," humour that "refuses the crutch of vulgarity," combined with an "insipid, eco-friendly plot and a bland, family-centered message." Ouch.

Regardless, Rio 2 swooped to the top of the box office when it was released in the UK last week and will almost certainly dethrone Captain America: The Winter Soldier upon its American release today.

Anne Hathaway has appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote her latest movie, Rio 2. However, instead of opting for the standard interview fare, the One Day actress threw herself into the comedy and cabaret atmosphere of TV's hottest talkshow by participating in a classic Fallon collaboration.

Taking to a stage with a backdrop of red velvet curtains and jazz club soft lighting, Anne and Jimmy performed renditions of classic rap song together. Yes, you read that right - with Jimmy on piano and accompanying vocals and Hathaway taking to the mic, the pair jazzed up some of hip hop's most well-known hits to cheers of excited disbelief from the crowd.

"Hey Anne," said Fallon. "Yeah Jimmy?" Hathaway replied huskily. "Whaddaya say we break 'em off a little something west coast style?" he proposed. They then broke into a Richard Cheese-style cover of Snoop Dogg's 'Gin and Juice' before heading into a lounge rendition of 50 Cent's 'In Da Club,' and topping the performance off with Kendrick Lamar's 'B***ch, Don't Kill My Vibe.'

The audience roared with laughter at the many swearwords the pair came out with, especially went Fallon broke into a tinkling piano solo. "Jimmy you can't do that to me, it gets me so hot," Anne said. The usually reserved actress embraced the opportunity to show off her talent for comedy and singing and at one point hitched herself onto Jimmy's piano for an impressive vocal solo. "Oh you dirty, Hatha-hating b***ches don't kill my vibe," she sang, referencing the name given to her critics.

The performance ended with roses flung from the audience amidst wild applause. Soon after, Anne took to Jimmy's sofa to discuss her little-known affection for rap. She insisted that she is actually "a big rap fan," telling Jimmy: "Right now I love really Kendrick Lamar, I really love him."

She even admitted that she had really wanted to perform Kanye West's Mercy in their medley and once more brokeinto song as she said "Can you imagine how much fun it would be to Broadway-up, 'Roll my weed on that ass, that's an ass-tray'?" A chuckling Fallon replied: "I'm going to get that tattooed on my lower back - That's poetry!"

Considering her singing voice was so unexpectedly powerful, she was asked whether she'd ever considered performing in a Broadway show. "I would love to do a show, I just haven't found the right one," she replied, adding "There's a couple I've come close and they fell apart at the last minute." Are they available for wedding receptions?

Anne Hathaway breaks a sweat every day 4143211 News

Anne Hathaway tries to exercise for half an hour each day.

The 'Les Misérables' actress believes working out helps her both physically and mentally so she practices a different cardio routine every day in order to maintain her fitness levels.

She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''I like to keep active - I try to respect the rule that says you should break a sweat every day, so I try to find time to do half an hour of some sort of cardio exercise because it really helps to keep me mentally balanced as well as physically fit. The form of exercise changes.''

Anne also enjoys going on hikes since it's something she can share with her actor husband Adam Shulman, who she married in September 2012 in California.

The Oscar-winning actress added: ''I like to go horseback riding, I practice yoga and I love to go hiking with Adam, which is a nice exercise we can do together.''

Anne recently parted ways with her stylist of 10 years, Rachel Zoe, in order to work with Penny Lovell.

The actress has been spotted working some edgier, menswear inspired looks on the red carpet in recent weeks and her bold new look has been a hit with critics.
