Anne Hathaway - Anne Hathaway On 500 Calorie Diet For Les Miserables

The 29 year old Devil Wears Prada star will play the role of Fantine in the forthcoming movie production of Les Miserables. Her character is a prostitute, who winds up with consumption and dies, later coming back as a ghost. The film's director, Tom Hooper, has apparently ordered that she shed the weight in 20 days so that he can begin shooting the death-bed scenes, according to the Daily Mirror. She is expected to drop to a size 6, if she sticks to the 'two apples a day' diet. A source told the newspaper "Unfortunately, she only has 15 to 20 days to lose as much weight as possible - up to a stone-and-a-half - because she's been filming the scenes showing her fit and healthy, almost slightly chubby. It's not ideal but, as with any high-budget movie, there are strict time constraints."

The source also revealed that she's not only controlling her weight with a strict diet but has a personal trainer working with her as well. The movie, which is based on the hit West End musical, also stars Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe. Filming began this month and a December 2012 is anticipated.
