Anne Hathaway has added her thoughts to the senseless massacre at a Colorado screening of her new movie The Dark Knight Rises, revealing her "heart aches" for the victims.
Director Christopher Nolan, his leading man Christian Bale and composer Hans Zimmer have already broken their silence following the Friday morning (20Jul12) tragedy, which cost 12 film fans their lives, and now the film's Catwoman has offered her comments.
A statement from the actress reads: "My heart aches and breaks for the lives taken and altered by this unfathomably senseless act. I am at a loss for words how to express my sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."
James Holmes, 24, has been charged with entering an Aurora cinema near Denver in full combat gear and opening fire on filmgoers there to watch a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises.
