Seth Rogen is to voice the lead ghost in 'Boo U.'
The Canadian actor - who has previously voiced roles in 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and 'Kung Fu Panda' - will portray a ghost who must return to spook school to learn how to be better at what he does.
Tony Leondis is directing the project, which will be made in 3-D, while Courtney Pledger and Gil Netter are producing.
'The Simpsons Movie' scriptwriter Jon Vitti is on board to create the story.
'Boo U.' is among a number of animations set to be released through Dreamworks Animation in the near future, with 'Puss in Boots' scheduled for November 2011 and 'The Croods' 'The Guardians' and 'Madagascar 3' all set for 2012.
Seth has had a quiet few years working on comedies including 'Zack and Miri Make a Porno' in 2008 and 'Funny People' in 2009.
He has a number of projects coming up, and is currently shooting Sarah Polley-directed drama 'Take This Waltz' with Michelle Williams and Sarah Silverman.
