ANGELINA JOLIE has visited victims of the floods in Pakistan, which have been the worst in the country's history and have so far killed more than 1,750 people - affecting more than 18 million. The Hollywood actress is slowly becoming known as much for her humanitarian work as for her acting, and she talked to locals whilst walking through camps set up amongst the devastation. The floods have caused endless amounts of damage to the infrastructure since beginning over a month ago, and Sky News quoted Jolie as saying, "It's an extraordinarily complex situation. These are very, very long, extended situations that need our constant support for a very, very long time".
The OSCAR winning actress is due to spend two days in the country, helping with aid, and attempting to secure funding from various wealthy governments. Britain's Daily Mirror reports how Jolie wore 'a long black robe and a black headscarf' as she toured a refugee camp in the Swat Valley, which is a territory infamous for its Taliban infiltration. The actress added that she hopes to help as much as she can during her short stay, saying, "I am very moved by them and I hope that I am able to, today and tomorrow, be able to do something to help bring attention to the situation for all of the people in need in Pakistan."
