Angelina Jolie Engagement Ring: Why Does She Hate It?

Angelina Jolie may have agreed to marry her partner Brad Pitt earlier this year, but it appears the Hollywood actress isn't too enamoured with her engagement ring. The actress reportedly hates the $250,000 diamond creation, and even ditched it during a recent holiday to Ecuador.

According to In Touch Magazine, Angelina is not fond of the design at all, with a friend saying, "Nothing against Brad's design. She's just never been enamored of white diamonds.She isn't fond of it". It will have come as a blow to Brad, who spent months designing the ring with the help of renowned Los Angeles jeweller Robert Procop. According to the UK's Daily Mail, Procop's team said, "Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realised over a yearlong collaboration.He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand".

However, despite Pitt's efforts, Jolie was reportedly hoping for something a little more flashy and non-traditional, with the source adding, "Emeralds are her favourite".
