Rocker Andrew W.K.'s dreams of becoming an American Cultural Ambassador to the Middle East have been dashed by officials, who have determined he is not the best man for the job.
The Party Hard hitmaker was all set to travel to Bahrain next month (Dec12) to promote peace and prosperity in the region as part of his new appointment, but the 33 year old has since been "uninvited" from the official trip.
A spokesman for the State Department tells DCist, "The embassy determined that he (Andrew W.K.) was probably not a best choice and didn't meet our standards.
The disappointed rocker says, "I'm just blown away. After a year of planning, the US State Dept. just cancelled my Middle East trip because I'm too party."
