Rocker Andrew Dost has composed new music for U.S. network DogTv to help soothe anxious canines.
The fun. star was asked by DogTv bosses to create a track for their channel, which aims to reduce the stress pets may experience when they are left at home alone by their owners.
Dost explains his new project in a statement which reads, "I approached this composition project differently than I would for human ears. I made sure the range of frequencies and instrumentation were tailored to a dog's unique sense of hearing and kept things musically more level and linear."
The four-minute song features harp, piano and repetitive electronic undertones, and is set to a video which includes tranquil scenes of America's Yosemite National Park in California.
Dost's fee from the project will go to A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue, a shelter in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
