Anderson Cooper's Chat Show To Return In All-new Format
It's going to be all change for Anderson Cooper and his much-celebrated talk show when it returns for its second season on September 10th, on Warner Bros. Television. A new name and a new time are on the cards for the show, as well as a new stage set, whilst producers are hoping to lure some big names in to have a chat with the man who also remains on CNN.
First, reports The Hollywood Reporter, the name; the show will change from 'Anderson' to 'Anderson Live'. The location? That's been changed too, with Cooper now pitching at the CBS Broadcast Center, Previously it had been in Manhattan's Time Warner Center. "Our biggest overall goal for Anderson Live is to take the best elements of daytime and put it in a show that works in 2012. Being live plays to Anderson's strengths, providing immediacy and topicality, which allows us to talk about what is going on in the world," said the show's executive producer Terence Noonan, who will be joined for the new season by new co-executive producer George Davilas, who most recently served as senior supervising producer at 'The Doctors'.
Additionally, the show will be attempting to incorporate real-time feedback, gathered from social network sites, including Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr, with viewers encouraged to get in touch during the show. The show will also be using rotating daily guest hosts, something that worked when it was tested during May.
