The same film that won this year's best film trophy at the MTV Movie Awards has now won this year's worst film trophy at the Golden Raspberry Awards, the annual event staged the day before the Oscars, better known as the Razzies. After being passed over for worst film in its earlier installments, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2, the sixth highest-grossing film of the year, beat out a list of nominated films that were all box-office losers, including Battleship, Adam Sandler's That's My Boy!, Eddie Murphy's A Thousand Words, and the animated Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure. Indeed, Breaking Dawn virtually swept all of the worst of categories, including Worst Director (Bill Condon), Worst Actress (Kristen Stewart), Worst Supporting Actor (Taylor Lautner), Worst Screen Couple (Lautner and Mackenzie Foy), Worst Screen Ensemble, and Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel. It lost out (or won out, depending on your point of view) only in the Worst Actor category as Robert Pattinson was worsted by Adam Sandler (That's My Boy!) and in the Worst Supporting Actress category as Ashley Green was beaten out by Battleship's Rihanna.
