Scissor Sisters - Ana Matronic Blasts Simon Cowell Over Tv Persona

Singer Ana Matronic has taken aim at TV talent judge Simon Cowell, insisting he has a "sensitivity chip missing" and labelling his series American Idol "mean-spirited".
Scissor Sisters frontwoman Matronic signed up to help pop star pal Jessie J whittle down her contestants on the U.K. version of The Voice this weekend (21Apr12), and she's adamant the show is the only talent-finder she's willing to appear on.
She tells Britain's The Sun, "It was fantastic. I couldn't believe it when the call came in. I wish I could be on there every week helping!
"I find the American Idol model a bit problematic. It is not necessarily based around finding and nurturing new talent. There is a bit of a mean-spirited quality, especially at the audition process."
And blasting Cowell, she adds, "From what I have seen, he comes across as not very constructive. He is someone who has always been in a position of power and you can see that. You can smell the power coming off that guy. There is a sensitivity chip missing.
"I am not one of those women who find success an aphrodisiac. There are a lot of people who find success and power the ultimate aphrodisiac, but it is not for me. He might be a perfectly lovely person and if he likes comic books and weird funny movies then we would probably get along but I somehow doubt that."
