Amy Winehouse's Parents Moved To Tears At Vigil

Amy Winehouse's parents broke down in tears as they visited the late singer's house on the first anniversary of her death yesterday (23.07.12).

Mitch and Janis Winehouse were joined by one of Amy's best friends, 'The Voice' star Tyler James, and her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield at the 'Rehab' hitmaker's home in London's Camden Town, where she died of accidental alcohol poisoning aged 27.

The family were moved by messages of support left by hundreds of fans outside the property and they were even more emotional when supporters paid tribute to Amy by singing the music star's 2007 hit single 'Back to Black'.

Janis told one fan: ''Life is short - enjoy it. I miss my baby so much.''

Mitch, 60, read a number of messages left by fans and he told the crowd: ''Thank you all for coming.''

Former 'Eastenders' star Barbara Windsor and record producer Mark Ronson - who produced Amy's second studio album, 'Back to Black', and collaborated with her on 2007 single 'Valerie' - also joined the singer's family in Camden.

One fan, Natasha Douglas, told The Sun newspaper: ''We have come to pay our respects. Amy was amazing, she had amazing talent''.

Later on, many of the crowd moved on to one of Amy's favorite bars, Jazz After Dark, in London's Soho district.

Yesterday, Dionne took to her twitter account to pay tribute to her god-mother on the first anniversary of her death.

In a series of tweets, she wrote: ''I believe in angels, the kind that heaven sends ... Amy you are surrounded by angels who are your friends. Its been a year since you left and I still think about you everyday.

''I know your in a better place and you were to young to die that is what hurts so much. God broke our hearts to prove he took the best. God gave you a special gift as sweet as can be your own precious angels to watch over you (sic)''

Following Amy's passing, Mitch and Janis set up the Amy Winehouse Foundation in September 2011 to support charitable activities that provide help and support for young people who are suffering from addiction, ill health and disability.
