Following the release of his debut album 'Waltz Of A Ghetto Fly' on Genuine, a new single 'I Believe in You' and recent sell-out dates in the UK & Europe, Amp Fiddler is back in the UK for a April/May tour. His forthcoming single 'Dreamin', including remix by Blacksmith, is due out end of May.
A Detroit native, Amp has been based for
many years at Camp Amp, his home/studio in Conant Gardens on 7 Mile, just
around the corner from the now infamous 8 Mile.
Amp also has claim to the musical legacy of this once thriving Northern Industrial town, a legacy that still manages to dominate the contemporary music scene and includes Madonna, Eminem and the White Stripes in its ranks
'This is not just a man who's absorbed
black musical history. He is, basically, black music Personified. An
entire page couldn't do this album justice. Absolutely untouchable.' Pete
