High-ranking American politicians are hoping to take control of movie and
TV projects which feature Homeland Security agents by hiring a new Hollywood
The Homeland Security Office has posted a job offer for the role in
Tinseltown trade magazines in the hope of being able to make sure that agents
are correctly portrayed in upcoming films and TV dramas.
Homeland Security Department spokesman DENNIS MURPHY says, "There can be a
tremendous impact on the public with the ability to communicate to people what
"They're going to do their movie. We just don't want it to be silly."
The proposed Hollywood liaison officer will also consult with producers
and directors on matters of national defence and security.
