American Idol Star David Cook Dropped By Rca

Former American Idol winner David Cook's pop career has hit a low note - the singer/songwriter has been dumped by record label bosses at Rca.

Cook released two albums as an Rca recording artist and his label heads have opted not to resign him.

Ironically, the news comes less than a week after Cook returned to the TV talent show to perform his new song The Last Song I'll Write For You.

	Where is the pic of David Cook lol. That isn't him. And this was a mutual parting of the ways. That's okay anything to make a buck in reporting.

	contactmusic, David Cook was NOT dumped by RCA, the split was amicable and David announced it first. David is about progression and wants to go another direction and his fans support him. He is still managed by XIX/simon fuller.

	Except that David Cook was NOT "dumped" by RCA. His 2-album contract with them that he signed after winning American Idol has been FULFILLED. His contract was over, done, finished. David decided to go in a different musical direction, with more creative control. In effect, it's like leaving your big corporate job and going into business for yourself. David is still making music, still performing and still a millionaire, so no need to worry about him being destitute.
