American Idol Mishap Leaves Reinhart In Danger
Haley Reinhart's opening performance saw her tackle Led Zeppelin's track, "What Is & What Should Never Be", with her father on guitar. After the 20-year-old had made a promising start to the track, she tripped and fell while trying to climb the 'Idol' stairs in high heels. Despite stumbling on her lyrics, Reinhart managed to regain her composure and finish the song. Jennifer Lopez told Haley to forget about the fall, saying, "You got to keep going.it was a tough song.you sang it really great". Scott Mccreery tackled Lonestar's 'Amazed' and received unanimous praise from the judging panel. Mentor Beyonce had aired her concerns that the track was beyond Scott's vocal range, but the 17-year-old from North Carolina delivered a solid rendition. Lauren Alaina opted for Faith Hill's 'Wild One' and was commended for her "attacking" choice of song.
In the 'judge's picks' round, Scotty was faced with Kenny Rogers 'She Believes in Me', while Lauren tackled Leann Womack's 'I Hope You Dance' and Haley was given Alanis Morissette's 'You Oughta Know'. All three hopefuls were praised for their efforts, and there appears to be no clear elimination favourite for tonight's results show.
