Amanda Bynes' car was impounded yesterday (16.09.12).

The 26-year-old star was stopped in her black BMW at around 9am in the Burbank, California, area where she was pulled over by police for driving with a suspended licence.

The incident is the second time this month that Amanda - a former Nickleodeon star - has been stopped by officials for driving with a suspended licence, and it has led 'Mean Girls' actress Lindsay Lohan to call for harsher punishment for the blonde beauty.

Lindsay - who spent 23 days in prison after she violated her probation agreement following a DUI (driving under the influence) - took to her twitter account to vent her frustration at the law for being too lenient on Amanda.

She wrote: ''Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far? + (sic)''

And shortly afterwards the 'Liz & Dick' actress added: ''These are the moments that I appreciate my life experiences, living without regrets and Disney for supporting me as an actress-night all* (sic)''
