Allen Launches Record Label
The singer took a hiatus from pop last year (10) as she prepared to become a mum. Tragically she lost her child six months in to her pregnancy in October (10).
Allen has been concentrating on other ventures during her time off, she set up a clothes shop in London last year (10) and has now thrown herself into launching her own label, called In The Name Of, which has been backed by music giant Sony.
According to Britain's The Sun, bosses at the firm have handed Allen a $225,000 (£100,000) salary and money to set up her own office and staff.
The publication reports the Smile hitmaker has signed up New York boy/girl duo Cults as her first act.
