Allen Eyes X Factor Job
British singer LILY ALLEN is eager to battle VICTORIA BECKHAM and CHARLOTTE CHURCH for a judging role on U.K. TV talent show THE X FACTOR - insisting she'd "love" to be on the panel.
The show's boss and judge Simon Cowell is reportedly planning on replacing current panelist Dannii Minogue to rejuvenate the show's forthcoming season later this year (09).
The music mogul has his sights set on ex-Spice Girl Beckham to sit in the judging seat, allegedly making her a $1.4 million (£1 million) offer to join him, Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole and Irish music manager Louis Walsh as the series' mentors.
Cowell is also reportedly considering Welsh singer Charlotte Church for the role.
But Allen, who has had well publicised spats with last year's (08) winning judge Cole, is desperate to offer her guidance to the singing wannabes - and thinks she's the best girl for the job.
She tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I haven't been asked but I'd love to do it.
"The world would be a lesser place if we did not have winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra (Burke). It's a great programme and I think I'd be quite good."
