Allen: 'Album Success Justifies Paparazzi Intrusion'
Pop star LILY ALLEN feels her constant hounding by the paparazzi has been worth it - because her second album proved to be such a success.
The Smile hitmaker shot to fame in 2006 with her debut record Alright, Still and quickly became a regular fixture in the gossip columns for her wild ways.
Allen was a top target for London photographers, who followed her every move in the British capital. Earlier this year (09), Allen took legal action, and won a court order to keep the intrusive snappers at bay.
The star admits her fame was becoming tiresome - but feels she has paid her dues after her second CD It's Not Me, It's You stormed to the top of the U.K. album charts in February (09) and scored a number five hit in America.
She tells Sky news, "It's still surreal, it's a bit weird. Before I released this record, that (fame) was starting to get me down actually.
"But the fact it's done so well and people are responding has made me feel like it's a little bit more justified - but not quite."
