All-star Game A Big Hit

Last week's Major League Baseball's All Star Game helped lift Fox to No. 1 in the ratings among the key 18-49 age group and to second place among adults overall. CBS remained the most-watched network of the week, thanks to its summer reality series, Big Brother, and to solid rerun performances by its Thursday-night sitcom The Big Bang Theory , its NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles dramas, and its long-running news feature, 60 Minutes. NBC scored with America's Got Talent on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, while ABC managed to make the top-ten list with The Bachelorette. Among the evening news programs, NBC News with Brian Williams remained on top with 7.8 million viewers, while ABC World News with Diane Sawyer placed second with 7 million viewers. The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley wound up the week with 5.8 million viewers. Overall, CBS finished the week with an overall 3.6 average household rating and a 6 share, followed by Fox with a 3.0/5. ABC came in third with 2.9/5, while NBC remained in last place with a 2.8/5.
