Alice Cooper - Alice Cooper Unveils Handprints At London Arena
Alice Cooper has followed in the footsteps of Madonna, Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton by unveiling his handprints at London's Wembley Arena.
The rocker performed his first show at the iconic venue in 1972, and on Tuesday (23Oct12) the School's Out hitmaker attended a formal ceremony at the Square of Fame and posed alongside a bronze plaque featuring his immortalised handprints.
He says, "Wembley is one of those venues that gives you goosebumps when you walk in the door. It's high on the list of gigs that every band dreams of playing. We've been there so many times, it always feels like a homecoming and an honour to this day."
John Drury, Wembley Arena's general manager, adds, "It's an honour to have Alice Cooper reach this landmark. He really is a legendary rock 'n' roll icon and we look forward to welcoming him back for many more performances in the years to come!"
Music stars Kylie Minogue, Cliff Richard, Status Quo, Bryan Adams and Westlife have also left their marks in Wembley's Square of Fame.
