Alexandra Burke - Alexandra Burke Offers A Kidney To Her Sick Mother

The Bad Boys hitmaker's mother, former Soul II Soul star Melissa Bell, is battling kidney failure and her daughter has offered to help out by giving her a much-needed organ transplant.

However, Bell has refused the request because she doesn't want to hamper Burke's chances of starting a family.

Burke tells British magazine Weekend, "I've tried three or four times. But mum made the choice because doctors said it could mean I wouldn't be able to conceive. She didn't want to restrict me, but I was willing to adopt anyway... I've been very down about the situation. I've even had fans offering kidneys... She can survive 25 years on dialysis, but it's not a proper life."

Bell undergoes daily dialysis treatment and is currently on the waiting list for a donor organ.
