Alexander McQueen's fashion label will continue despite the designer's tragic death last week.
Alexander McQueen will live on through his fashion label.
Fans of the 40-year-old designer - who was found dead at his London home last week - will still be able to pick up his creations following fears for the future of the label.
Francois-Henri Pinault, the CEO of the company that controls the designer's companies through its Gucci subsidiary, said: "You understand, the Alexander McQueen trademark will live on. His art went beyond the fashion world. He had a great command of technique... he hid behind an armour of provocation. Fashion has lost one of its extraordinary people. He was one of the falling stars that comes across our generation."
McQueen - whose celebrity clients included Lady Gaga, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell was putting the finishing touches to his autumn/winter collection when he took his life - just three days after the death of his beloved mother.
Yesterday (16.02.10), a post-mortem confirmed McQueen had been founded hanged in his wardrobe.
