Sir Alec Guinness - Alec Guinness' Diaries And Letters To Go On Display

The diaries of late acting legend Sir Alec Guinness are set to go on display in London.

The Star Wars actor's personal letters and 100 volumes of his journals, which record his career on the stage and in film from the late 1930s onwards, will be part of an exhibit at the British Library in the U.K. capital from 2014.

The display will also feature Guinness' musings during World War Ii, his feelings on the death of his friend Sir Laurence Olivier in 1989, and a letter he wrote to his wife Merula Salaman on the eve of his breakthrough run at London's Old Vic theatre in 1938.

Guinness died in 2000 at the age of 86.
