Alec Baldwin - Alec Baldwin's Alleged Stalker Case Adjourned Until 2013
Alec Baldwin's alleged stalker will have to wait until the new year (13) to find out her fate after a judge adjourned the case until February (13).
Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin has been accused of bombarding the 30 Rock star with emails and making unwelcome visits to his New York home after they enjoyed a night out together in 2010.
She was arrested in April (12) on suspicion of harassment and stalking charges, and was held again last month (Nov12) when she was accused of violating an order of protection by allegedly reaching out to the actor and his wife via Twitter.com.
The case went back to Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday (19Dec12) and was adjourned, with the judge pushing the next hearing back until 13 February (13).
Sabourin did not attend the hearing as she is reportedly staying with her mother in Montreal, Canada after falling sick with pneumonia, but she took to her Twitter.com page to bemoan the delay and appeal for a new lawyer.
Her attorney reportedly quit last month (Nov12) after she allegedly failed to pay her legal fees.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, she writes, "The judge adjourned (the case) until 13 February. More months of suffering... and stress," before adding, "Urgent: I need a pro bono criminal lawyer to represent my case in Ny. Any help??... I'm broke, no work, no home... nothing left and with pneumonia."
Sabourin went on to hint that she might accept a plea deal in her case: "Believe it of (or) not, just ask (sic) my lawyer 2 (sic) get the info 4 (sic) me 2 plea something even if I'm innocent so I can get out of this inhuman torture now."
