Alec Baldwin - Alec Baldwin Dropped By Supermarket After Plane Debacle
Alec Baldwin made somewhat of an unlikely exhibition of himself last month as he was kicked off an American Airlines flight in front of a host of other first class passengers, including boxing great Oscar De La Hoya. He had refused to turn off his phone as the flight from Los Angeles was scheduled to take off.
The actor was flippant about the whole thing at the time, taking to Twitter to type "Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing Words W Friends while we sat at the gate, not moving." However his discrepancy, which saw Baldwin quickly take another flight out of the city, looks to have done him more damage than he first thought. The Press Association are reporting that Baldwin has been pulled as spokesman in a series of commercials for supermarket chain Wegmans Food Markets as a direct consequence of the incident. Though initially appearing in the ads in the Christmas 2010 season, and with plans for them to air for three weeks this time round, the company pulled them from Us Tv with a week to go following the airplane misdemeanour.
The star had initially been hired for the commercials after mentioning that his mother was a regular Wegmans customer.
