Alec Baldwin Donates $1 Million To The New York Philharmonic
However the recently angry actor has now done something for the better, so it turns out. The Wall Street Journal reports that just days after tying the knot with his current wife and yoga instructor, Baldwin donated the princely sum of $1 million to the New York Philharmonic. Lovely gesture. The gift is reportedly in honour of outgoing President and Executive Director Zarin Mehta. Baldwin is a board member of the Philharmonic and hosts its radio show. He claimed earlier in the week that the gift was a thank you for being welcomed into the world of classical music.
Mehta, who leaves after 12 years in her position, said Baldwin's "remarkably generous gift is just the latest in his steadfast and inspiring support" of the Philharmonic.
