Al Sharpton - Al Sharpton Calls For Houston National Prayer

U.S. civil rights leader-turned-political pundit Rev. Al Sharpton is calling for all Americans to remember Whitney Houston in their prayers on Sunday (12Feb12).
Sharpton, who presided over Etta James' funeral last month (Jan12), will call for a national prayer during a service at the Second Baptist Church in Los Angeles, where Houston passed away on Saturday afternoon (11Feb12) as she prepared for an appearance at her mentor Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy Awards party.
A statement from the reverend reads, "The morning of the Grammys, the world should pause and pray for the memory of a gifted songbird."
Jennifer Hudson will perform a musical tribute to her idol Houston at the Grammys on Sunday night.
