Al Pacino - Al Pacino Play's Opening Pushed Back Over Storm Delays
The official opening of Al Pacino's new Broadway play has been pushed back until next month (Dec12) after producers were forced to cancel rehearsals due to superstorm Sandy.
America's East Coast was battered by heavy winds and rain as the storm hit last week (beg29Oct12), leaving New York City at a standstill.
The producers behind the Broadway revival of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross scrapped a number of rehearsals when some of the actors were unable to attend due to the bad weather and they have now delayed the official opening by four weeks, according to Bloomberg.com.
Pacino's play has been in previews since last month (Oct12) and was due to officially open on 11 November (12), but the launch will now take place on 8 December (12).
