After Grammy Success, Adele Plans Five Year Break

Adele might have singled handedly saved the music industry last year with sales of some 17 million worldwide, but she might be indirectly giving it the proverbial kick in the not-so-nice-ies this year and maybe for more to come after announcing in an interview that she planned to take a break from music for five years - something which'll no doubt send alarm bells ringing around those who were looking to the Brit singer to carry on selling millions over a good number of albums in the near future.

However in an interview with US Vogue Magazine yet to be published, the performer said "I am f***ing off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy," continuing she added "And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch."

Adele also opened up about how she was in relationships, painting a not unintimidating picture; "I am not bipolar, but I go from, 'Oh, my God, I love you' to, 'Get the f**k out of my house!' really quickly. And I never sit there and talk about it. I give them the silent treatment," she said , continuing They're like, 'Tell me what I've done so I can say sorry!' What else? It used to be that I loved a drink a bit too much. But I don't drink no more." You'd think the music industry probably wouldn't mind her being single for a while longer, so long as it meant more songs recorded.
