Adele has found a new home for herself in West Sussex. The Someone Like You singer revealed her new home on US TV show 60 Minutes, while giving an interview with Anderson Cooper.

The mansion, once a convent, hosts a swimming pool, a tennis court and ten bedrooms but no furniture yet. Adele will be paying around £15,000 a month in rent to live here but she revealed to Cooper: 'This is just safety, this house.' The comment came after Cooper told of Adele's want to escape the paparazzi.

As she showed Cooper around the empty house, she admitted: 'This house is a bit of a cliché, really.' As they make their way down a dark corridor, Cooper jokes: 'Ever seen The Shining?' referencing the famous 'All work and no play scene' in the film.

Adele seems to be unable to take it all in, giggling as she points out the 'wings' of the house. She shows Cooper her suite, which is filled with half unpacked suitcases. Cooper quips: 'I love what you've done to the place,' to which Adele says: 'I've been busy!'

The house also boasts a helicopter landing pad and a separate house for staff. It is also located just thirty minutes from Adele's boyfriend's house; Simon Konecki lives in Brighton.

Adele - who won six Grammy's at this year's awards ceremony - denied that she would be taking a five year break. She wrote on her blog: 'I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!'
