Adele – From Rags To Riches, But How Has It Changed Her?
Adele seems unchanged by the money and the fame
Adele has risen from her humble upbringing to global stardom. She is now a household name, respected in musical circles and adored by her fans. And perhaps best of all, she’s an Oscar-winner. But how has this affected her character? Or has it?
Well according to her aunt, Anita: she hasn’t changed one bit. “She doesn’t get any special treatment — of course not. Why would she?” she told The Sun. “There’s plenty of nieces, nephews and grandchildren in this family so no one gets any special treatment, I can tell you. They’re all treated the same.” And when the British powerhouse singer pops round to visit her relatives, she’s still got to perform the tasks of old. “Adele comes round and she’s still got to go and make her nan a cup of tea, I’m afraid,” confirms Anita. After some time away from the limelight, Adele returned to the fore, claiming a Golden Globe, a Grammy and now an Oscar in the space of two months. “There’s not a lot more for her to top now, is there? She’s worked her way through all the awards,” the singer’s aunt explained.

The people behind Skyfall were so enamoured with Adele, they want her in for the next Bond film when it goes into production. That would make her the first woman to sing the 007 tune twice in a row. A source told The Sun newspaper: “Producers are thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele's presence on the next film will replicate that success. They want her to become as synonymous with Bond as Dame Shirley [Bassey].”
