Adam Ant - Adam Ant's hat stolen
Adam Ant fell victim to his own song lyrics about a fashion-loving thief when his £10,000 hat was robbed from his dressing room.
Adam Ant's iconic sailor's hat was stolen last night (15.11.12).
The 'Stand and Deliver' singer was left in a ''massive panic'' when the £10,000 headwear went missing from his dressing room at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, North West England.
A member of the singer's touring party admitted: ''There was a massive panic in the dressing room when we realised it wasn't where he'd left it. That hat has been captured by some of the world's most famous photographers, and has travelled the world on Adam's head.''
However, the iconic item was later found dumped by the back of the venue after security chased off a gang of youths who had been hanging around Adam's tourbus.
The hat was designed by Phillipino milliner Mich Dulce, and only two have ever been produced - Adam's own headgear and a replica created for a UNICEF auction this summer.
The source added to BANG Showbiz: ''I have no idea how we'd have got another one if that hat hadn't been found.''
