Actress Fern Persons has died at the age of 101.
The veteran star, who appeared in movies such as Risky Business and Field of Dreams, passed away on Sunday (22Jul12) in Denver, Colorado just days before her 102nd birthday on 27 July (12), according to Variety.com.
Persons started her acting career in the 1950s, appearing in numerous TV roles. She went on to star in Tom Cruise's 1983 movie Risky Business, as well as Kevin Costner's Field of Dreams and Prelude to a Kiss in 1992.
She also appeared in TV medical drama E.R. in the 1990s.
