Actress Elizabeth Norment has died at the age of 61.
The House of Cards star passed away on 13 October (14) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Norment began her career in 1984 with a small role in the film The Woman in Red. She went on to star in several movies and Tv shows, including Party of Five, Law & Order and miniseries Robert Kennedy and His Times, in which she portrayed Eunice Kennedy.
She played Kevin Spacey's secretary Nancy Kaufberger in U.S. political drama House of Cards from its launch last year (13).
A statement from showrunner Beau Willimon reads, "Everyone at House of Cards is deeply saddened by Elizabeth's passing. She was a talented actress, a warm soul and a good friend to us all."
Executives at production company Mrc add, "Elizabeth Norment was a talented actress with a beautiful spirit who touched the entire House of Cards family."
